Boardsmill 1-10 St Ultans 1-10
This entertaining contest finished a draw after a Boardsmill free six minutes into injury time drew the sides level and Boardsmill earned themselves a well deserved point. Boardsmill opened the scoring in the first minute but Ultans responded well and were leading by two points when Boardsmill got their goal to edge in front, Ultans rallied from the remainder of the half and led by 2 at the break, thanks to 5 frees from Gearoid Rennicks and points from Jason Bennett, Ciaran Rogers, Paidin Boggins and Ruairi Buchanan from play. Ultans can also be thankful to their defence and Keith Hennessy who made two excellent stops to keep them in front at half time.
Ultans opened the scoring when full forward Bennett pointed but this was quickly cancelled out by Boardsmill. Ultans goal came eight minutes into the second half when Bennett won possession and got himself one on one with keeper, he delicately chipped to keeper from 25 yards to leave 5 between the sides. Ultans failed to score for the remainder of the game and Boardsmill chipped away at lead and ultimately drawing level with the final kick off the ball.
